We live in a world of 6s and 7s. Products that are "good enough" to ship, systems that are "efficient enough" to profit, transparency that is "clear enough" to avoid legal trouble.

We are not interested in "enough."

Chasing Tens is a laboratory for the 10/10. It is a commitment to build digital tools where every architecture decision is driven by impact, not just engagement metrics. We believe technology should act as a Great Equalizer — narrowing the gap between institutional insiders and the individual consumer.

Our first project, FDInsider.in, was born from a simple observation: the bedrock of Indian financial security — the humble Fixed Deposit — was surrounded by unnecessary complexity and manufactured opacity when it came to one wanting to break their FD. The clarity regarding which rates will be levied and what penalties will be charged is often obscure leaving one guessing until they actually break their FD! Democratizing access to this clean, sourced, honest data was the first act of equalisation.

But this is only the first chapter. Whether we are building financial engines, information platforms, or decision frameworks — the goal remains singular: to solve for the user first, the system second, and the ego last.

Build to Distribute, Not Extract

Most digital products are architected around a single question: "How do we maximise platform value?" Data harvested. Attention monetised. Switching costs engineered. The user is the product, even when they think they are the customer.

We ask a different question: "How does this tool create more value for the user than it captures for the platform?" If we cannot answer that clearly, we do not ship.

This is not altruism. It is a conviction about what makes tools endure. Products that extract eventually face their reckoning — regulation, backlash, or simply users who finally find a better way.

Transparency as Architecture, Not Feature

Most platforms treat transparency as something they offer when legally required or competitively pressured. It is a PR decision, not a design decision.

At Chasing Tens, transparency is baked into the architecture from day one. Every rate we show is sourced. Every claim is cited. Every risk is disclosed — not buried in a footer, but placed where the decision is being made.

The test: would a user who fully understood how this tool works trust it more or less? If the answer is "more" — we have done our job. If the answer is "less" — we have more work to do.

The User's Interest Is the Only Interest

The Indian financial ecosystem runs on misaligned incentives. Distributors earn more when they recommend higher-commission products. Platforms earn more when users stay confused. Banks earn more when savers do not comparison-shop.

We are not naïve about business models. Revenue must exist. But the question is always: does this revenue model require users to be misinformed, inactive, or worse off than they could be?

If yes, we find a different model. The user's financial interest is not a constraint to optimise around. It is the target.

Complexity Is a Weapon. Clarity Is a Service.

Financial complexity is not inherent. Most of it is manufactured — by institutions that benefit from confusion, by jargon that signals expertise without conveying it, by product structures that obscure fees.

Every tool we build is a translation layer. It takes institutional-grade data and makes it legible to the individual. Our expertise gives us the technical depth to understand the system. The obligation that comes with it is to make that understanding accessible.

If a user needs a finance degree to make sense of our tool, then the tool has failed!

The Standard Is Ten. Not Seven.

The name Chasing Tens is a commitment. Not to perfection for its own sake — but to the refusal to accept "good enough" as a terminal state.

A 7/10 product ships. A 7/10 disclosure exists. A 7/10 return beats inflation. These are not wins. They are the floor. The question we ask of every product, every feature, every piece of writing: what would this look like aa a 10/10?

Sometimes ten is unreachable. But chasing it produces 9s. And in a world full of 6s and 7s, a 9 changes things.
